The George Lois Big Idea Archives is where scholarship and inspiration come together in a historic repository of culture-changing work. With countless pieces, ranging from concept drawings to finished ads, commercials, magazine covers, and logos, from award trophies, certificates, and mementos to original artwork, GL&CCNY is the largest archive at The City College of New York. It is the only one in the world to curate the work and big idea thinking of George Lois – cultural icon, activist, and the embodiment of advertising’s Creative Revolution.
As the archives continues to grow, it relies on student as well as professional archivists to curate the content in a meaningful and public-facing way. Please give generously to ensure that GL&CCNY remains vital.
To make an appointment to discuss the archives, please contact either Professor Ed Keller, Director of the George Lois Big Idea Archive or William Gibbons, Archivist.
